Work schedule: normal five day, forty hour workweek. Office hours are between 7/8 hours am and 3/4 hours pm, generally without a break for lunch. Ministries and other central institutions function between 8 am - 5 pm. Post offices are open daily between 7.30 am and 7.00 pm, and on Saturdays until 1.00 pm.
Non-working days: 1 and 2 January (the New Year), Easter Monday, May Day, 1 December (the National Day), 25 and 26 December (Christmas). The favorite holiday months are July and August.
